The AltIndex Developer API Is Now Live

Developers can now bring AltIndex’s daily alternative stock data directly into applications, research workflows and AI assistants through our new Developer API and MCP connector.

The AltIndex Developer API and MCP connector make our alternative stock data available wherever developers and researchers work. Use the REST API to power stock screeners, dashboards, alerts and internal research tools, or connect AltIndex through MCP to analyze the same data directly inside Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor. Both access methods work with one AltIndex key.

Build Better Investment Tools With Alternative Data

The API provides daily data on social-media mentions, sentiment and follower growth, alongside news coverage, job postings, LinkedIn employee counts, employee business outlook, insider transactions and congressional trading for over 3000 US stocks. The AltIndex Score brings these signals together, helping developers quickly identify companies worth investigating further.

That opens the door to more differentiated products and research. Track changes in job postings, monitor shifts in social sentiment, identify unusual attention around a company, follow insider and congressional activity, or use the AltIndex Score to quickly surface stocks worth investigating further.

The REST API makes these signals available for programmatic integrations. MCP makes the same data accessible to AI assistants, so users can ask questions, compare companies and investigate changing signals without manually collecting the underlying data.

Three Self-Serve API Plans

• Hobbyist: $19 a month or $120 a year, with 250 requests a day and 30 days of history.
• Developer: $79 a month or $480 a year, with 1,000 requests a day, MCP included and 730 days of history.
• Research: $199 a month or $1,200 a year, with 10,000 requests a day, 50 tickers per request, full history and internal commercial use.
