Two members of Congress bought Marvell at roughly $108 in early April. The stock now trades above $310, putting both up nearly 190% in ten weeks, just ahead of the S&P 500 inclusion that sent it running. The disclosure record shows who else on Capitol Hill traded MRVL, who won, and who left a 300% move on the table.

Representative Byron Donalds bought MRVL at $107.06 on April 2. Representative Maria Elvira Salazar bought four days later at $109.46, in the larger $15,001 to $50,000 bracket. Both are up roughly 190% in about ten weeks, measured against today's $310.58. The gains are unrealized, since neither has filed a sale.
The timing is what draws attention. Marvell's S&P 500 inclusion landed in June, after both bought, sending the stock up almost 9% premarket, followed by analyst target hikes to as high as $385. The April buyers were positioned ahead of every one of those catalysts. We are not alleging insider information, and there is no public evidence of it, but trades this well timed ahead of a known index addition are exactly the pattern our congressional trading tracker exists to surface.

Three members sold MRVL in 2025, all in the low $70s, before the stock left its range. James Comer sold at $75.12 (July 3), Ritchie Torres at $72.71 (July 11), and Val Hoyle at $74.62 (September 23). Each exit gave up a move north of 300%.
Comer's full round trip is the worst of the record: he bought at $123.78 in January 2025, near the actual peak, then sold at $75.12 in July, right before the stock quadrupled. Bought the top, sold the bottom, missed the entire run.
Jefferson Shreve ran the cleanest trade in the record. He sold at $90.14 in March 2025, then bought back his largest disclosed position, the $50,001 to $100,000 bracket, at $50.94 in April after a 40% drop. That $50.94 entry is up more than 500%, the best price anyone in Congress got on MRVL. Sold high, bought low, sized up. Every leg of these trades is logged on the MRVL congressional trading page.

AltIndex Quarterly Revenue Data
The congressional record points one direction: the April buyers won big, the 2025 sellers lost a triple. The contrast worth watching now sits on the insider side. While politicians bought near $108 in April, CEO Matthew Murphy and other insiders sold into the run through May and June, above $200 and $290. Insider selling on a stock up 333% is not automatically bearish, but at a P/E near 100 with the S&P 500 inclusion and analyst upgrades already priced in, the easy repricing is done. The hiring and revenue signals still support the name. The insiders are trimming anyway.
