NBIS is up roughly 300% in a year, and Nvidia just disclosed a 9.3% stake. Underneath the headlines, Nebius job postings have more than quadrupled since January and headcount, according to our LinkedIn data, has doubled. The listings themselves read like a construction map: new data centers in Wales, Finland, Israel, and the American Midwest, plus entire teams for new product lines. This is what a growth company looks like from the inside.
Yesterday, Nvidia filed a 13G with the SEC disclosing a 9.3% passive stake in Nebius (NBIS), roughly 22.26 million shares, most of it tied to a warrant from its $2 billion investment announced in March. The stock jumped in after-hours trading and kept climbing Tuesday, trading above $210, up more than 15% on the day. Northland raised its price target to $410. Freedom Capital upgraded to Buy. Bank of America held its $280 target.
Wall Street is voting with price targets. But we also look at the digital footprints of the company, and those signals started pointing to growth months ago. Nebius job postings sat at around 34 active listings per week in mid-January. This week they hit 237, an all-time high in our data. That is a 336% increase year over year and a 76.6% jump in the last month alone. A company does not post jobs at that rate unless it is committing capital, and the individual listings tell us exactly where that capital is going.
The shape of the curve matters as much as the endpoint. Through the fall of 2025, Nebius held a steady baseline of roughly 27 to 35 active postings per week. In the last week of January the line broke upward: 42, then 47, then 52, then 69. By late February, weekly postings had quadrupled to over 150. They peaked at 211 in mid-March, settled into a new plateau between 130 and 160 through the spring, and then broke out again this month to 220 and now 237.

We analyze more than the total number of job postings; we read the postings themselves. For Nebius, that means hundreds of open roles published across more than 15 countries. Roughly one in three is a physical infrastructure job. Data center IT technicians, electrical leads, construction project managers, warehouse and logistics specialists, site selection managers, and the recruiters hired to hire more of them.
The locations are the story. Newport, Wales alone has seven open roles posted in a single week in early July: two IT technicians, a senior technician, an IT support manager, a data center IT manager, and an RMA and diagnostics engineer. You do not staff a full site hierarchy like that for an existing facility. That is a new data center coming online. The same clustering shows up in Israel, where postings name three separate sites (Beit Shemesh, Modiin, and Masmiya), and across the American interior, where technician roles are open in Oklahoma, Kansas City, Missouri, Minnesota, and New Jersey.
| Cluster | What's posted | What it signals |
| Newport, Wales | 7 roles: technicians, IT support manager, DC IT manager, RMA engineer | Full site hierarchy for a new UK facility |
| Israel | Technicians for Beit Shemesh, Modiin, Masmiya; logistics; support manager | Three named data center sites staffing up in parallel |
| US Midwest & East | Technicians in Oklahoma, Kansas City, Missouri, Minnesota, New Jersey | US capacity expansion beyond the Kansas City flagship |
| Pennsylvania | Public Affairs Specialist - Pennsylvania | Community-relations hires typically precede site announcements |
| Finland | Electrical lead, operations technicians, L1/L2 techs in Lappeenranta and Mäntsälä | Densifying the original Finnish footprint |
| EU-wide | Junior and Senior Technical Program Manager, "New Data Center Launches" | The job title says it: more launches are in the pipeline |
The other two-thirds of the postings show what Nebius plans to sell from all that capacity. Token Factory, its inference platform, is hiring a developer advocate, a senior technical product manager, a technical account manager, and backend developers. Tavily, the web-search API company Nebius acquired, has five open go-to-market roles including a sales development representative in Austin and a head of forward deployment engineering. An agentic search team is recruiting staff-level applied AI researchers in London and a data engineering lead in Tel Aviv. And the sales org is scaling globally: a VP of Strategic Sales in the Bay Area, a Regional Sales Director for the UK and Ireland, a channel partner manager in Singapore, and solutions architects for DACH, the Middle East, and APJ.
Read together, the listings describe a company building capacity on three continents and simultaneously standing up the product and sales teams to monetize it.
Postings measure intent. Headcount, according to our LinkedIn data, measures execution, and Nebius is scaling. LinkedIn-reported employees grew from 607 in August 2025 to 1,385 today, up 128% in twelve months and 13.8% in the last month. LinkedIn undercounts total staff since it only captures self-reported profiles, but the trend is what matters, and outside one LinkedIn recount dip in November, it climbs every single month.

The people already inside the building agree with the expansion. The employee business outlook, the share of employees on review sites who expect the business to improve, has climbed from 78% a year ago to 93% today. Rapid hiring often strains culture; at Nebius, insider optimism has risen alongside the headcount.
Nebius carries an AI Score of 71, in our buy range, and the score has held above 60 for nearly the entire past year while the stock ran from the low $50s to over $210. The strongest inputs are exactly the ones this article is built on: hiring velocity up 76.6% month over month, headcount up 128% year over year, employee outlook at 93%, and audience signals (web traffic, news mentions, search interest) that are currently maxed out in our model.

The reported numbers are following the same curve. Revenue in the March 2026 quarter came in at $227.7 million, roughly four times the $55.3 million reported a year earlier, and management has guided annualized run-rate revenue to between $900 million and $1.1 billion. The company also secured $775 million in debt this month to fund further cloud expansion, the raise Freedom Capital called a positive catalyst in its upgrade.
The bottom line is the weak link. Nebius posted a net loss of $249.6 million in the March quarter. Every one of those hundreds of open roles is a cost that lands on the income statement months or years before the data center it staffs generates revenue. The bet only works if AI compute demand holds through 2027 and beyond.
There is also the circularity question. Nvidia invests in Nebius, Nebius buys Nvidia chips, and analysts including Goldman Sachs have flagged how concentrated and self-referential the AI financing ecosystem has become. If that loop tightens, the companies inside it get repriced together. The market has already shown what that looks like: even after this week's pop, NBIS trades roughly 25% below its late-June peak, and short interest remains elevated. A stock that has tripled in a year and still burns a quarter billion dollars a quarter will stay volatile.
Nebius is firing on all cylinders and the stock has been rewarded for it. Our AI Score has held NBIS in buy territory since last summer, when the stock traded in the low $50s. Investors who followed that signal are up roughly 300%, and the signals that drove it, hiring above all, are still accelerating.
The next hard checkpoint is earnings on August 5. Watch whether the run-rate revenue guidance moves, and watch whether the posting count holds above 200. If the buildout is real, the hiring feed will confirm it before the press release does.
