Top Reddit Stocks Last Week: MU, META, and MSFT

Reddit was all about the MMM stocks last week. MU was still the biggest name, META was the standout mover, and MSFT stayed relevant as Reddit debated whether AI spending is getting too expensive.

Meta grabbed the momentum

META was the clearest attention gainer of the week. Mentions rose 54% week over week, and the stock gained 5.9%. Reddit's main narrative was not about a new product win. It was about Meta reportedly having so much AI compute that it may rent some of it out.

That sparked a bigger debate across top posts. Bulls saw optionality in turning excess infrastructure into a cloud-style business. Skeptics framed it as evidence that Meta may have overbuilt.

Micron stayed No. 1, but the buzz faded

MU still finished as Reddit's most-mentioned stock last week, but the bigger story was the drop in intensity. Mentions fell 54% from the prior week, and the stock slid 13.8%.

The posts explain why. Reddit was still focused on the memory trade, but the tone shifted from chase mode to post-selloff analysis. Traders were trying to make sense of a sharp decline after what one post called a solid quarter, with theories ranging from profit-taking and stretched valuations to a changing competitive setup if SK Hynix becomes easier for U.S. investors to access. Another widely shared post zoomed out to leverage across chip stocks, keeping MU in the conversation even as the hype cooled. Net result: MU remained a major name, but the narrative turned more cautious and neutral.

Microsoft stayed big as capex took center stage

MSFT remained one of Reddit's biggest stocks by attention, but mentions fell 63% week over week even as the shares rose 4.7%. The conversation was less about breakout excitement and more about a reset in how investors view the business.

Top posts centered on two themes: another round of job cuts and a broader debate over whether Microsoft's AI buildout is pressuring free cash flow too much. Several posts argued that the stock's valuation now hinges on a single question: does AI capex normalize, or does it stay elevated? That kept Microsoft relevant, but the discussion was more analytical than euphoric, with neutral sentiment overall.

If you only looked at totals, MU, META, and MSFT dominated Reddit last week. But the more useful read is what changed. META had the cleanest surge in attention thanks to the excess-compute narrative, MU stayed huge but lost heat as traders digested a memory-stock selloff, and MSFT kept its seat at the table as Reddit wrestled with layoffs and AI capex math.

In short, the biggest names stayed big, but only Meta really felt like a fresh attention winner.
