Reddit subscriber counts measure the size of each public company’s dedicated community on the platform where retail investors, consumers and superfans organize around brands. Unlike mention volume — which spikes on news — subscriber counts grow slowly and reflect durable interest. A persistently growing subreddit usually tracks alongside a sticky consumer brand, a passionate user base or an active retail-investor following. We pull subscriber counts daily from each company’s primary subreddit and roll them up to the parent ticker. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

Daily subscriber trend lines for 3,000+ tickers’ dedicated subreddits, plus AI Score and alerts when a community inflects.
A large dedicated subreddit is a sign that a brand has built a passionate community that organizes around it without prompting. For consumer-tech, gaming, automotive, financial services and meme-stock tickers, subscriber count and growth track alongside genuine brand affinity — useful context to pair with fundamentals, hiring and the AI Score.
Mention volume spikes on news — an earnings beat, a viral story, a meme cycle — and resets quickly. Subscriber count is durable: it grows slowly when a brand earns it and rarely declines, so it’s a better read on the underlying loyalty than the day’s noise.
AltIndex pulls subreddit subscriber counts daily from the public communities we track. The leaderboard re-ranks each morning, and individual ticker pages show the long-term trend so you can see whether a community is steadily growing or has stalled.
We map each ticker to its primary dedicated subreddit (e.g. r/apple, r/tesla, r/nintendo) and pull the public subscriber count daily. We count the official primary community only — we don’t inflate the number by adding adjacent subreddits or fan communities that aren’t brand-controlled.
No single alternative-data signal predicts price. Subscriber size correlates with community loyalty but doesn’t guarantee revenue or margin. Use subreddit trend alongside fundamentals, web traffic and the AI Score. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
