Yesterday I wrote about growth in Job postings. Today I thought to follow-up with App Downloads.
By tracking App Downloads, I believe that we can see an increase or decrease in customers for the companies with mobile apps.
But just like job postings, we don’t want to look at just total number of downloads. That would leave us with pretty much the same list month over month. I find change in app downloads more interesting and that’s why I’ve compiled a list of the companies with the biggest increase in app downloads from February to March this year.
| Company | Downloads | Downloads Change % | Price | Price Change % | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Live Nation LYV |
4,856 | 131.1% | $83.49 | -1.8% | |
| Toyota TM |
89,070 | 78.8% | $153.87 | -1.7% | |
| ServiceNow NOW |
14,174 | 71.2% | $487.57 | -16.8% | |
| Foot Locker FL |
214,874 | 63.8% | $57.31 | 10.4% | |
| Chipotle CMG |
244,035 | 60.2% | $1406.33 | -5.2% | |
| Southwest LUV |
212,140 | 53.1% | $61.91 | 19.1% | |
| U.S. Bancorp USB |
151,922 | 50.7% | $55.87 | 14.8% | |
| Denny's DENN |
31,530 | 49.2% | $18.19 | 10.7% | |
| Square SQ |
150,305 | 46.7% | $212.83 | -22.9% | |
| Expedia EXPE |
403,214 | 45.6% | $175.87 | 19% | |
It's interesting to see that companies like Live Nation, Southwest, Expedia etc have a decent increase in app downloads. This shows us that customers are ready to get back to events and traveling.
