Thanks to its highly engaged communities and niche audience targeting, Reddit (RDDT)has become one of the top platforms for advertisers. With recent cutting-edge ad innovations, like refined targeting and interactive formats, and its ad reach skyrocketing, marketers are flocking to the platform like never before.
According to data presented by AltIndex.com, Reddit's ad reach skyrocketed by 129% in just one quarter, hitting 606 million by the end of 2024.
Once known mainly as a forum for deep-dive discussions, Reddit has become the number one spot for market research, viral content, and stock market buzz driving hype around trending stocks. However, in an era where trust in advertising is plunging, the platform has also become one of the top picks for marketers and advertisers.
Reddit stands out with transparency and user-driven content, offering brands a fresh way to connect authentically with engaged audiences. Although Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube still dominate the ad space, Reddit's rapid growth has positioned it as a serious contender.
According to Digital 2025: Global Overview Report, Reddit's ad reach has skyrocketed by 129% in a single quarter, reaching 606 million at the end of 2024, propelling it to eighth place among the world's top ad platforms. Statistics show Reddit now trails Snapchat (709 million), LinkedIn (1.2 billion), and TikTok (1.59 billion), while the usual frontrunners—YouTube (2.53 billion), Facebook (2.28 billion), and Instagram (1.74 billion) maintain their stronghold.
With an advertising audience of 606 million, Reddit has outperformed Elon Musk's X, former Twitter, whose ads could reach 20 million less users, or 586 million. Pinterest was at the back of the list, with an ad reach of 340 million.
Reddit's ad audience has expanded worldwide, with all major markets posting triple-digit growth quarter-over-quarter. Still, the United States remains Reddit's largest market, with a potential ad reach of 288 million. That is seven times more than the second-ranked United Kingdom, with an ad reach of 41.2 million. Canada, India, and Germany round the top five markets, with 36.9 million, 22.7 million, and 21.5 million, respectively. While far below these figures, France (11.9 million) and Italy (9.6 million) saw a much bigger ad audience growth, skyrocketing by 213% and 227% in a single quarter.
The report also showed that Redditors have an average of 70.4 monthly sessions and spend close to three hours per month using the app. However, 15 countries surpass that benchmark, with users in New Zealand, Canada, Switzerland, Denmark, India, and the United States spending between four and five hours per month scrolling through the platform.
