Our algorithm goes beyond conventional data analysis by incorporating alternative data sources such as web traffic, social media trends, job postings, app downloads, employee ratings, and overall sentiment. This holistic approach allows us to uncover insights that might be overlooked in traditional analyses, providing a more comprehensive view of a company's potential.

Strong Win Rate and Returns

In November last year, our AI algorithm issued buy or sell signals on 48 stocks. These signals are not direct investment recommendations but serve as valuable insights for investors to consider. Over the past 12 months, 33 out of these 48 signals yielded positive results, translating to a 68% win rate. The average return across all picks was 20%, highlighting the effectiveness of our AI-driven approach.

Embraer (ERJ) – Buy Signal
One of our standout successes was a buy signal for Embraer, the Brazilian aerospace conglomerate. Over the past year, Embraer's stock soared by an impressive 136%. Our algorithm detected early signs of growth through increased job postings and a surge in web traffic, indicating renewed interest in their commercial and defense aviation segments.

Tupperware Brands (Formerly NYSE: TUP) – Sell Signal
Our algorithm issued a sell signal for Tupperware before the company faced bankruptcy and eventual delisting. The stock plummeted by 73%, validating our AI's ability to foresee downturns. Declining social media engagement and negative employee sentiment were key alternative data points that signaled the company's impending challenges.

High-Conviction Picks

American Express (AXP) – Buy Signal
With a 64% increase in stock value, American Express benefited from a resurgence in travel and consumer spending. Our algorithm picked up on rising web traffic and positive customer sentiment.

Amazon (AMZN) – Buy Signal
Up by 38%, Amazon continued its dominance in e-commerce and cloud services. Increased app downloads and sustained job postings were strong indicators of the company's growth trajectory.

WW International (WW) – Sell Signal
The stock declined by 83%, aligning with our sell signal. A decline in job postings and waning social media presence hinted at challenges in retaining their customer base.

Learning and Improvement

While we're encouraged by the overall performance, we acknowledge that not all picks yielded the desired results. Stocks like Purple Innovation (PRPL), Shoe Carnival (SCVL), and Janus Henderson Group (JHG) did not perform as anticipated. These experiences offer valuable lessons, and we're actively refining our algorithm to enhance its predictive accuracy and limit future losses.
